As an Asian male standing at 5'10" and weighing 135 lb, opting for size S fits me perfectly. The sleeve length and overall fit are just right, which is quite rare. The material of Alpha Direct 90 is a well-balanced choice for outdoor wear, providing excellent insulation despite its lightweight. The vibrant color scheme and personalized touch enhance its fashion appeal. For me, it's a garment I can't get enough of.
Additionally, Justin is incredibly attentive. He promptly responds to emails and addresses any concerns you may have. I hope he continues to create even better products.
The proof will be when I am on the PCT in April but the hoodie arrived within the time frame promised. Fit is great. It is light weight and not to be used as an out layer without some protection . Looking forward to using this on the trail.
I actually picked up a FarPointe hoodie a couple weeks ago, which is perfectly fine. This one is just nicer with the snaps, shock cords, and the elastic in the wrists. I will definitely keep my eye open for future offerings!

My first alpha direct product, and I’m completely satisfied. I gave my specifications (I’m tall and lean) for the custom hoodie, and it fits perfectly. The garment seems to be more durable than I expected. I think I’m going to wear it in everyday life, and on the trail!
This hoody is surprisingly warm compared to how light it is! Love the collar design! I went to Amicalola this past weekend for AT Gateways. Wore my new hoody and did a little hiking up Springer. Definitely my new favorite hiking hoody!

As I write this I am wearing an Alpha Direct Rip-Back hoodie. It breathes perfectly, is remarkably light and provides a significant amount of warmth. I live and play in the Sonoran desert and this is the perfect warming layer. Even a very light shell to block the wind and the R factor is greatly increased.
Bought my Alpha Direct to take on the Appalachian trail! Customer service is phenomenal. I reached out about sizing and the amount of time to get it to me - as I am running out of time before I hit the trail. They were right on the sizing and had my hoodie just over a week! Also, I’m loving the length of this hoodie, as it is long enough to give my bum some coverage as well!
I’ve worn it hiking, camping, running, and even around the house. Warm when it needs to be but breathes so as to not get over heated. Super versatile. Super lightweight. Great customer service. What are you waiting for?!
